Sustainability

Lockdown Liquor was born out of a pandemic, our roots are firmly planted in our desire to give back. From our philanthropic initiatives with Founders Pledge to our constant drive to review our environmental impact. As a business we seek to think long term, so our initiatives around philanthropy and sustainability require us to echo that.

From day one, what has gone into our blends has been fundamental, not just for taste but understanding our supply chain from start to finish so we know our products inside and out.

Using partners whose core values match ours, allow us to produce premium products, without costing the earth.

  • Our Gin and Vodka is distilled from wonky and surplus ingredients from a farm in Kent. The waste botanicals at the end of the process go back to the farm in a process called “regenerative farming”
  • Our Gin and Vodka suppliers plant Juniper bushes and shrub land on the  Farm to offset carbon emission.
  • Our cold brew coffee, featured in our Espresso Martini, is produced by Minor Figures, a fully vegan and carbon neutral business.
  • All our products are made in-house, so we have full ownership of waste management and ensuring sustainable practice. We have full autonomy to change things, we need to and strive for better practices.

From production, packaging to delivery we are constantly reviewing our impact. We are working with environmental consultants to measure our carbon footprint and set out a sustainability pledge working on innovative sustainable solutions with the end goal of obtaining carbon neutral certification.

We have much to learn, improvements to make, but we are committed to the cause.
